The machinations of satanic law firm Wolfram & Hart and the birth of Angel's son Connor, are the driving forces behind this season of the popular Buffy spin-off, but it's an uneven affair: the subsequent loss and subsequent return of Connor is a bit daft, but standout individual episodes (notably the Joss Whedon-penned "Waiting in the Wings") and Stephanie Romanov's sultry appearances as evil attorney Lilah Morgan make it worth the bite on the wallet.
