Sure, he delivered The Dark Knight Returns, Sin City and 300, but Frank Miller has had just as many flops, and when they flop (Robocop 2, Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again), they flop hard. Sadly, his directorial adaptation of Will Eisner’s graphic novel was a box-office dud, despite offering Scarlett Johansson as the sexy she-wolf henchwoman to Samuel L. Jackson’s eight-barreled-gun-toting baddie Octopus.
