Director Gregory Hoblit has had strong footing in mainstream Hollywood for the last decade, but seems perpetually relegated to middling box office. It's probably due to the fact that his genre pictures take odd turns that veer towards cult weirdness (remember Denzel's Fallen or Dennis Quaid's Frequency?) Anyway, it's more of the same unpredictability here, as Diane Lane faces a net-savvy serial killer whose slayings are amplified with greater unique visitor counts
