''Bittersweet World'' is the third studio album by singer Ashlee Simpson. It was released in the United States on April 22, 2008. Simpson worked on the album with producers Timbaland, Chad Hugo, and Kenna. It has been described by Simpson as a "fun party album" with a "silly and quirky" side and some influence from 1980s music. She has also described it as having a more beat-oriented sound than her first two albums, ''Autobiography'' and ''I Am Me'', although still retaining some of those albums' guitar-based sound. - Wikipedia

Her sister "jinxed" upstart all-pro quarterback Tony Romo in a nationally televised game against the Eagles. Her dad is singlehandedly destroying that same sister's flailing career by hooking her up with straight-to-DVD "comedy" duds. Things may have been a bit chilly in the Simpson home this winter, but younger sister Ashlee is'"finally'"bereft of drama. All of her tabloid travails'"the Saturday Night Live lip-synching disaster, the (totally unnecessary) nose job, her courtship with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz'"are old news. So all that's left to focus on is her third full-length, which refreshingly espouses risk and experimentation. That manifests ably on first single, "Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)," a jangly '80s throwback that wouldn't be out of place during a fight scene in Grosse Pointe Blank. As long as she's having fun and not still whining about the SNL fiasco, we're behind her.
